On October 9th, 2011, the non-profit CicLAvia announced an expansion of its Los Angeles city route, inviting people to enjoy 10.5 miles of open streets for outdoor activities. The update includes two new spurs through the Fashion District and Chinatown, branching off from the downtown main route, and it enhances connection with Union Station and the Metro Gold Line Chinatown Station. To support the route expansion, CicLAvia is launching a Kickstarter campaign, raising $10,500.
