The Los Angeles Department of Transportation plans to create a series of new bike lanes in Downtown LA. This endeavor includes lanes on Figueroa, Flower, Spring, and Main, and if initial traffic studies show no major impact, the project can commence without an environmental impact report. While some street parking may be removed, no traffic lanes in busy areas will be eliminated, and a seventh street bike lane addition is planned for completion by October.
