Project Glasswing, an initiative led by major tech companies including Amazon, Apple, Google, and Microsoft, is being launched to secure the world's most essential software. The initiative was formed in reaction to AI models' increasing ability to find and exploit software vulnerabilities. As part of Project Glasswing, Mythos Preview, a powerful AI developed by Anthropic, will be used for defensive security work, with Anthropic committing up to $100M in usage credits and $4M in direct donations to open-source security organizations.
