Italian software company Bending Spoons plans to purchase AOL from Yahoo, financed by a $2.8 billion debt package. This follows AOL's history of being sold and merged with various companies, most recently being bundled together with Yahoo under the company Oath, which was sold to Apollo Global Management in 2021.
